**PLEASE READ** -- SynAudCon Forum Information & Disclaimers

SynAudCon is not responsible or accountable for any communications or actions regarding the content of the Forum. Messages displayed on the Forum do not necessarily express the views or opinions of SynAudCon. All communication and participation is at will.

The forum is a group list of audio professionals from around the world. It serves to provide a way to exchange audio-related ideas and information. Here is how it works:

1. You must first be a member of SynAudCon, and then subscribe to the Forum. The Forum membership is moderated, which means that your subscription must be approved by SynAudCon.

2. Three options are available.

You can participate using the online Forum interface where you can post and read messages (recommended). Using the Forum interface is the best user experience, plus you can upload files to share with others.

You can also participate via email. There are two versions of the email option.

If you choose the email version, to post a message to the list, simply address it to sac@list.synaudcon.com and the entire list will receive it. Include your name and email address with all posts and replies.

3. The content of the email messages is the property of the sender. You may not quote, post or forward messages without the express consent of the author.

IMPORTANT: YOU MUST OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING GUIDELINES WHEN PARTICIPATING ON THE FORUM

  1. All formatting and attachments are stripped from messages sent to sac@list.synaudcon.com.
  2. Do NOT quote the entire original message when replying on the Forum. You can quote portions of the message to clarify your response.
  3. Do NOT send attachments to the Forum. You may upload it here and the other forum members will have access to it.
  4. Do NOT change the name of a Forum thread. Simply hit the "Reply to:" button and LEAVE THE NAME UNCHANGED. THIS IS IMPORTANT!
  5. To post a question, create a NEW email message with an appropriate subject line. Do not reply to an existing message and change the subject line to start a new thread.
  6. To reply to a message, select "Reply to:" in your email software. This will insert the address of the list in the "To:" field. If you wish to reply to the individual who sent the message, you must enter their address manually. We strongly encourage that you reply to the entire list so that all can benefit from your comments. DO NOT CHANGE THE NAME OF THE THREAD THAT YOU ARE RESPONDING TO!! (we can't stress this enough).
  7. Please DO NOT advertise via the forum.

General Etiquette for Using the Forum:

Undeliverable Messages:

If we get "undeliverable" messages back from your mail server for more than 24 hours, your address will be deleted from the list. This is also true for "mailbox full" messages. It is important that you inform us of any email address changes, etc. If you go for a period of 48 hours without receiving any messages, your address was probably deleted. This is necessary due to the glut of returned messages that we get from mail servers that keep trying to deliver email to invalid addresses. If you have cleared up the problem, you may re-submit your address to SynAudCon for subscription to the list.

That covers it. I hope you enjoy our Forum and benefit from it as much as I have.
